Summit Appliance manufactures a large variety of low temperature freezers. These freezers are available in both chest and front opening styles. In 2005, we trademarked the ACCUCOLD® brand name for a new line of scientific and laboratory refrigerators and freezers with many new and unique features customers desire. With the addition of ACCUCOLD®, Summit is now even more prepared to serve the medical and laboratory sector who demand reliable cold storage

Summit has recently released the “Ice Bank”, an amazing innovation in low temperature freezers. The Ice Bank is a unique low temperature freezer option consisting of ice banks of non-toxic “blue” ice to provide a stable temperature environment for medical and scientific cold storage. This system allows the freezer to maintain a temperature below 32°F for up to 42 hours after a loss of power. The Ice Bank can help prevent the loss of precious supplies and research. Any chest freezer can be equipped with an Ice Bank. All SUMMIT medical and laboratory chest freezers come standard with a lock and warning lights as standard equipment. Locks are also available for front opening freezers.

It operates at -30C and can be used for many vaccines, medical products and food products. Options include external readout thermometer, high temperature alarm and adjustable dolly.

A unique low temperature freezer with an ice-bank of non-toxic “blue” ice to provide a stable temperature environment for medical and scientific cold storage. Electronic controls, lock, an external thermometer and an audible alarm are standard. -30°C operation

VT and VLT series freezers are capable of temperatures as low as -40oC. VLT chest freezers are available in many sizes, from a compact 3.8 cubic feet up to a spacious 22 cubic feet.

Felix Storch, Inc. was founded in 1969, and has been a leading supplier of compact, specialty, commercial and medical refrigerators and freezers since then. In 1969 we trademarked the SUMMIT® brand name, which now also encompasses SUMMIT PROFESSIONAL (for stainless steel upscale products), and SUMMIT COMMERCIAL (for commercially approved products). In 1983 the company relocated from Long Island City to its (still used) 50,000 square foot facility in the Bronx, NY, and in 1998 we acquired a 2nd nearly 100,000 square foot facility that is now our headquarters, manufacturing and distribution facility at 770 Garrison Ave. in the Bronx. Due to continued growth we now lease additional facilities in Boston, MA; Northern, NJ and the Hartford, CT area. We remain a private, family owned business, with no outside investors.
